New York 2016 - WTC FDNY Memorial.

When the Twin Towers were attacked on 9th September 2001 the First Responders of the New York Fire City Department raced to the stricken towers. As thousands of people evacuated the World Trade Centre, firemen from FDNY entered the buildings to rescue those left.

The collapse of the Twin Towers would claim the lives of 343 Firefighters.

The World Trade Centre Fire Station is located on the corner of Liberty Street and Greenwich Street.  The Fire House fronts onto Liberty Street.
