Op Normandie - Ducy Sainte Marguerite

Brian Stewart served with the 1st Battalion Tyneside Scottish (Black Watch). He was 2 I/C of the Anti-Tank Platoon at the Battle of Rauray 1st July 1944 during which he was wounded.

Attending the 70th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy Commemorations in Normandy in 2014, the Prince of Wales was so inspired by the Normandy Veterans he commissioned 12 portraits of veterans all of whom served in regiments to which The Prince of Wales and The  Duchess of Cornwall have a formal  affiliation. Brian Stewart represented the Black Watch of which the Prince of Wales is the Colonel in Chief.

Brian passed away August 2015.
