Ypres 2016 - Lille Gate Ramparts Cemetery

The Lille Gate Ramparts Cemetery is situated on the old ramparts of Ypres on what was a dugout.

It began in November 1914 by the French, and there after by the British in intervals till April 1918. The French Graves were removed after the war  to the Ypres Necropole National French cemetery. The cemetery contains 198 Commonwealth burials of the First World War, of which 188 are identified.
